- Uses a revised version of the Tiled ECMWF Scheme for Surface Exchanges (TESSEL) scheme that incorporates land surface hydrology (H-TESSEL); The low atmospheric forcing is provided by the ERA5 reanalysis, with additional lapse-rate correction. Observations are thus indirectly incorporated through the ERA5 4D-VAR data assimilation system.
The output is interpolated to 0.10 deg lon/lat from the native model grid of 9 km.
