- Catchment land surface model. SWE diagnosed from MERRA, 2 fields with multilayer, physical snow pack mode. Performance comparable to MERRA and ERA-Interim Land. Brown et al. (2018) found MERRA-2’s ability to capture interannual variability in maximum annual SWE over southern Quebec was degraded compared to MERRA.
